Stepping up to the plate!

So I have been hiding under my cave and got kidnapped by aliens who took me to paradise island. Yeah Yeah I know I have not posted lately. Just been trying to figure some things out and where to begin.

Tada! here its is my most recent thoughts! To flirt or not to flirt , that is the question.  Come on, we have all been guilty of teasing,  flirting, aka leading him or her on!

There is nothing wrong in a little flirting here and there. And I am not talking about winking at the bartender to get a free drink. I am talking about the long term flirting, the sexual innuendos, the suttle yet sexy touches and glances, the soft kiss on his or her lips and the cyber flirting.   What is it, why does it exist, and what is the purpose behind it?

I mean it feels good to want and be wanted but I think after a while its time to step up to the plate and take a swing  or forfeit the game.

Example:

You and a man have been talking for a while, you are clearly interested in each other physically/otherwise but he has not taken the initiative to make a move or ask you out. Is it me? Is it him? What is it?! There has to be some sort of rules to this courtship ritual. Is flirting for months on end with no end in sight  a waste of your time or is it meant to be a way to simply pass the time? Personally I think its just a waste of time.  If you have no intention of catching us why even pursue us? To boost your self-esteem or feel desirable.

I don’t know what it is, but it seems as if the roles have been reversed and men are the ones that are leading women on.
