I agree Marus…It is a lot of work to have a fwb..Half the time you are putting all your energy into “Not” falling for them and not expecting much! To me its just too much work! As a female I think it is hard for us not to get emotionally involved, or have high expectations for FWBs..

Finding a FWB male is not an easy task, its almost as complicated as having a real relationship. The key to it though is communication and laying out expectations ahead of time. Once you’ve had sex is too late. The best ones are ex’s or male friends that already established in your life, that you have no desire to be with them long term, but you’d feel confident calling them to help you move your furniture around.

There are a few men that view FWB the way women do, but they are rare, and probably already have their own stock of FWBs.

Very good writing …I am also a writer and was inspired by this blog and the supportive comments you received. Oh and from a starving writer, musician type (male)..thanks for the support. I think we (male and female) can all agree upon the “stuck on stupid” theory. Mabey the air-conditioning in their SUV and HumVee has some odd effect when mixed with a large ego and a very small “somthing else”. =] oops did I type that?….*checks*..yup I typed that.
